Khalid Yousuf, MD, MS, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in hip and knee replacement surgery. He cares for patients throughout Plano, Frisco, McKinney, Garland and North Texas, helping individuals ... find relief from arthritis, joint pain, hip pain, knee pain and degenerative joint conditions through both surgical and non-surgical treatment options. Dr. Khalid Yousuf works closely with a dedicated care team—including Kali Howard, AGACNP, Danielle Sanchez, PA-C, and Madison Hinde, PA-C, to ensure a seamless, coordinated experience. Together, they provide connected care and help ensure patients have access to timely appointments, communication and follow-up throughout their care journey. Dr. Yousuf's areas of expertise include total hip replacement, total knee replacement, partial knee replacement, anterior approach hip replacement, robotic-assisted joint replacement and revision joint replacement surgery. He utilizes the latest surgical techniques and advanced technology to help patients restore mobility, reduce pain and return to the activities they enjoy. He is certified to perform robotic joint replacement procedures and is dedicated to delivering personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient's goals and lifestyle. After earning his medical degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans, Dr. Yousuf completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Oklahoma. He then pursued advanced fellowship training in joint replacement and adult reconstructive surgery at the prestigious Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Yousuf is actively involved in orthopedic education, teaching residents and medical students and serving as an instructor for the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) Arthroplasty Resident Course. He is a Fellow of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons (AAHKS) and remains engaged in advancing the field of joint replacement surgery through education and leadership. Dr. Yousuf is board certified and has earned the distinction of Certified Physician Executive through the American Association of Physician Leaders. His commitment to excellence has been recognized with numerous honors, including the Healing Hands Award from Little Company of Mary Hospital and repeat recognition as a D Magazine Best Doctor, D Magazine Best Doctor in Collin County, Texas Monthly Super Doctor, and Living Well Magazine Top Doc. When he is not caring for patients, Dr. Yousuf enjoys spending time with his wife and three daughters. Together they enjoy cooking, traveling and swimming.
